Ursa Major mom and her two bear cubs the color of dawn. This lovely bear family was inspired by a real grizzly family in which one cub used to ride on mom’s back. And it was the cutest thing. I sculpted them thinking about bears and how they’re so important in folklore. This family ensemble is a one of a kind sculpture, handmade in Montréal, Canada. I used white porcelain, glazes and decorated them with fine gold. Ursa Major mom has a moon and little stars on her body, while the cub on her back has stars and a golden eye. The little cub standing by themselves has a gold sun pattern on the forehead.
About 8 cm long.
